艾榮曾經在德國的 SIM CARD 製造商服務過, 10多年前曾經建議他們, 把當時的 SIM CARD 做得再精緻一點, 去除所有利頭利角, 目的是更容易使用. 當時都是用西門子的 IC 封裝起來成為 SIM CARD, 記得小麥當時拿的最新款 Motoro Startac 手機, 完全是 100% FULL SIZE 的ISO SIM CARD (就是名片般大小的那種), 後來慢慢轉變成現在最大宗, 在 FULL SIZE 上, 以 PUNCH 的方法, 預製出剪口的 MINI SIM CARD, 但是為了省錢, 通常都是單一剪口模具生產, 一次成型, 連沖帶剪, 所以 MINI SIM CARD 從名片版硬掰出來後, 都是利頭利角 (鋒利的各個邊緣). 到最近期, 蘋果 iPad 所用的 Micro SIM, 還是一樣利頭利角. 因此, 用手機以來或是幫人家裝機, 都有一個習慣, 每次掰出 MINI SIM CARD 後, 都會稍微用介刀刮除所有利頭利角, 目的就是順應自然, 插入電話使更容易, 但是所遇到的 SIM CARD, 還沒有看到一家製造製造商有這個設計. 唯一一次是用到 ORANGE Hongkong 的 SIM CARD, Gemplus 出品, 在其中一邊有壓 45度 CHAMFER, 算是看過最好的.

既然市場沒人做, 自己需要更好的, 就自己來 DIY, NXP 說的口號 - we make things better.
