The reason of that looking to this specific IC device, it
was being couple sample of DVB-S receiver received from China, someone call that
IRD . What is IRD ? they call Integrated-Receiver-Decoder (衛星訊號接收機). This
machine is hosted with an IC device, 256 pins QFP, the marking is clearly marked
as NXP CX24303-13AZ.

biggest IC, it is NXP CX24303, smaller one next to, it is Spansion FLASH memory, there are total 4 holes by two lines without pin
installed, marking is [HS2], it is JTAG connector ready.

(AMD and someone did cooperation, Spansion formed but then went into bankruptcy, APR/2010, Spansion Moves Closer to Successful Conclusion to Chapter 11 Reorganization, as their website said)
 


CX24303 JTAG pin out and the HS2 pin out, advised by someone from numbers of forum had been read, verified with this machine.


 

Usually, GOOGLE search is very powerful tool if data sheet
of an IC device is available for download, however, exceptional case are being
discovered, because many IC manufacturer has their proprietary of IC chip design
edge, but pay load of development & design are very costly, it resulted
these IC manufacturer, more precisely, they are the company for IC design, no
data sheet are open to public now. If you can not find the data sheet by uses
GOOGLE, try the other way, it is not a bad idea if you want to ask those dealer
/ manufacturer for this purpose. Anyway, the result could be done or negative,
depends on who are you and what are you doing.

 


 

almost nothing relevant to the data sheet that we are
looking for, some more reading further, clue is available here, CX24303,
original design by Conexant, later on, sell to NXP, and finally last month (FEB/2010), NXP
sold this to Trident, that is the story so far, and sorry, no data sheet of
CX24303 is available for download

Tools v1.0.6.16  it is russian's web page (http://icegsm.narod.ru/ ), this should be maintained by  the author of this JTAG software, but the 1.0.6.17 did not work.

good news is, yes, we see some information that cross the Internet and may be useful, the bad news is, yeah..... NXP or TRIDENT make $$$$$$, Chinese clone make just a little $. The better right now, Haier, they own DVB-S machine too, but...who knows what is actual IC chip inside.
