basically, the resistor has different scheme of color rings for resistance indication, they are 5 & 4 color rings respectively.

4 rings, usually, +/-5%

5 rings, usually, +/-1%

color scheme for resistance indication

example of reading the color rings & resitance

upper piece, color code - brown, grey, black, red, brown
= 1, 8, 0, 2, 1 = 1, 8, 0, 10^2, 1%  = 180 x 100 = 18000 = 18K Ohm, +/-1%

bottom piece, color code - orange, orange, brown, gold
= 3, 3, 1, 5% = 3, 3, 10^1, 5% = 33 x 10 = 330 Ohm, +/-5%
